I'm Home!

I did it, I worked my way into my foster familles hearts, they have decided to adopt me. IBR dogs have a sneaky way of doing that, with our foster families and adopters!

Please check out the other dogs in foster care that needs fur-ever homes. Recently many have been adopted, Summer waited a long time for her fur-ever homes, and its gets better! Pooh and Bronson are in foster care together and love each other so much they are getting adopted together! One foster home has both her kids getting adopted too. Maddie (Madonna) and Stephan are going their fur-ever homes too!

Every time a dog gets adopted it opens a spot for another to come in, and their are ALWAYS dogs that need to come in. If you would like to open your home and foster please fill out our foster home application and our foster home coordinator will give you a call. Being a foster home is very rewarding.

If your house is full and you cannot foster their are many other ways to help. We always need drivers for transports, that is how I got to Ohio! The foster care coordinator picked me up out of a shelter in the Chicago suburbs and another foster mom helped me get to Ohio on her way back home.

We can always use donations* too. Sponsors are needed to help with vetting expenses. IBR does not turn away sick or injured dogs. Cricket Q just came in recently and is Heartworm Positive and is boarder line positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted fever. Those pesky ticks and mosquitoes!!

Thank you following my journey on my way to my fur-ever home!

Time to go play...

So Much Fun!

I am having so much fun! Yesterday after a long car ride I made it to my foster home.

This home is so much fun! I have two female E. Setters to play with. You can see in my pictures how fast I'm running, but they wore me out too! So, my foster mom thinks a home with a friend for me would be best.

There is just so much to do here and so much fun to be had I'll add more of an update later. I hear Molly, one of the female Setters here, and it sounds like its times to play again!!!

Remember I'll need a lot of exercise and play time.

Happy Playful Setter Kisses,

I'm Out!

I can stretch my legs!!! YEAH!

Yesterday an IBR volunteer came to the shelter where I was in IL and pulled me out of there. It was very noisy with a lot of dogs. I was very sad while I was there.

I was adopted from the shelter, but the person who adopted me didn't have a fence high enough to keep me confined so she gave me away! The person she gave me to brought me back to the shelter.

The IBR volunteer cannot figure out why anyone wouldn't like me. She said I am a very sweet boy and full of love, I'm handsome too! She took me to the dr. I was very friendly with everyone in the office, lots of kisses and tail wagging. I even play bowed a dog that was in line waiting.

I am about 55 lbs, but I could stand to add about 5-6 lbs to my slim figure. Aside from that I looked very healthy, my eyes are bright white, and my fur is very soft. I am up to date on all my vetting too.

I spent the night at the dr. office, not because I am sick, but they called it boarding. Then another IBR volunteer who was driving back to Ohio took me with her. I got into her car. Freckles was in there too! He is a nice boy and he still needs a fur-ever home too. This is his Petfinder Page:

So I am going into foster care in Ohio, but don't worry. You can still adopt me even if you don't live in Ohio.

Check my blog again soon. It will have updates all about me from my new foster home.
